Nodules in the thyroid gland are, not always even, rounded formations that are found in the tissue of the thyroid gland. Most often they are altered thyroid tissue. In the case where the node is a cyst, it contains fluid. Thyroid nodules are most often formed along its edges, so you can feel them with your hands. Moreover, if such a knot is not very small, it gives the sensation of a lump in the throat. Its outline can be seen if the thyroid nodule is large enough or appears in very thin people.
